Meet the CEO

LaKendra Henage, M.S., LPC, ICADC, PMH-C, SAP, CTTP

​

LaKendra Henage has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Counseling, both obtained at Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL.  She is a licensed professional counselor in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. LaKendra is an internationally certified alcohol and drug counselor and a SAP provider.  LaKendra specializes in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS).  Additionally, she has a clinical military counselor certification and specializes in addressing the medical, physical, psycho-social, behavioral, mental health, family life, vocational, and career transition needs of active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.

LaKendra started her professional career in 2018 as a co-occurring therapist in an intensive outpatient substance abuse treatment program. She conducted individual, group, and family counseling, and substance abuse assessments and referrals to ensure that the appropriate level and quality of care and treatment were provided for her clients’ mental health and substance abuse issues.

LaKendra is the owner of Tranquility Counseling and Consult, LLC.  Her mission is to support the community by providing therapy services to adults, families, couples, and groups desiring a safe haven to explore life issues. Her goal is to provide a holistic approach that meets her clients where they are and helps them become healthier versions of themselves in every aspect of their lives.

Alicia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral and Social Sciences and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology. She is an Associate Licensed Counselor in the state of Alabama and is certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid and as a Trauma and Crisis Management Specialist through the American School Counselor Association. Alicia is committed to helping adults ages 18–40 navigate emotional, behavioral, and life challenges using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Her primary areas of focus include anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and adjustment-related concerns.

 

Alicia began her professional career in 2019 as a child and adolescent therapist in a clinical outpatient setting and later transitioned into a school-based therapist role. She has provided individual, group, and family counseling services, gaining extensive experience supporting youth and families through a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
